Hello eWorld!You all can see that our community getting boring, many of us went to 2 click mode, game is going to die, if we didnt do something, Yes we all must work for our game to make it more attractive for old and new players.Â
For me it will happened if we make eWorld more like real World, and here are some suggestions for it.
I present you 2 main suggestions witch are balancing with each user
I apologies for my Genglish, hope you will understood the main :)
#1 Taxation of Occupied RegionsIn order to make successful military campaigns more rewarding, I suggest to introduced theÂ
Taxation of Occupied Regions. In addition to the familiar production bonuses, Countries can gain additional tax income from the regions they have conquered. The amount of currency collected through taxes must be updated in real time both in the country treasury and in the Tax Revenue chart as all other taxes.
The taxes of country under partial or total occupation are divided between the occupying countries and the country that is occupied. The taxes are affected by the number of regions each country holds.
The taxes included in the calculations are:
- Import tax
- VAT (Value Added Tax)
- Work tax
As Admins announced, soon all countries will have from 2 to 10 core regions so i suggest theÂ
Formula for this Taxation:
PCI = TC × (CR/OR × 80% + BI )
Were:
•Â
PCI: Partial Country Income
• TCI: Total Country Income
• TC: Tax Collected
• BI: Base Income (20% for the country collecting the tax)
• OR: The number of original regions of the country
• CR: The number of original regions currently under control
EvenÂ
if a country is completely occupied, it will still get 20% of its income (known as the base income).Â
For example,Â
Georgia has 10 core regions (OR Geo=10)
2 of them are under occupation of Turkey (CR Tur = 2)
and 1 is under occupation of Iran(CR Irn = 1)
So Georgia have 7 original regions currently under control (CR Geo = 7)
Now if Georgia collects 1000 currency in taxes from its citizens:Â
OR = 10
TC = 1000
BI = 20%
CR (Georgia) = 7
CR (Turkey) = 2
CR (Iran) = 1
PCI (Georgia) =Â Â 1000 * ( 7 / 10 * 0.8 + 0.2) = 760 currency
PCI (Turkey) =Â Â 1000 * ( 2 / 10 * 0.8 + 0 )Â = 160 currencyÂ
PCI (Iran) =Â Â 1000 * ( 1 / 10 * 0.8 + 0) =Â 80 currency
The total income of a country (TCI) is the sum of PCI’s calculated for the original and non-original regions the country possesses.
For example, Turkey controls a part of its original regions, but has also occupied regions from Georgia and Greece. Turkey’s TCI will be:
TCI = PCI(Turkey) + PCI (Georgia) + PCI (Greece)
This is a stark contrast to our real-time when occupied countries can get the entirety of their tax income, which after attaining Congress could be used in fighting off occupiers.
Taxation of occupied regions basically meant occupation of countries that had so far managed to stay free because their bonuses were not needed by the superpowers around them, as well as extra money for occupiers to finance their military adventures.
You may think that this will kill small Countries and you are right if there will no be the second suggestion:
#2 DeterminationsWhen a region is kept under foreign occupation, the people’s determination to overthrow the oppressors increases over time. This leads to a Determination Bonus that multiplies the influence in battles against the oppressor.
Determination Bonus:
- When a Resistance War is started, the influence of each soldier fighting for the resistance is multiplied with the Determination Bonus.
- Hits done with Damage Boosters and Bazookas are multiplied like normal hits by the Determination Bonus
How is the Determination calculated?
The Determination Bonus is proportional with the number of days a region is occupied. The longer the region is held under occupation, the stronger the determination gets.
Once a region is liberated, the determination will decrease gradually.
For example, if Finland liberates Lapland from Swedish occupation of 200 days, and Sweden attacks the region a few days later, Finland and its allies will still have a high Determination Bonus when defending. If, however, Sweden conquers the region back despite the high Determination Bonus, the determination is then set to 0.Â
The bonus from Determination may be from 0.5 to 9 % (maybe more maybe less)
For example, when region is occupied:
5 - 10 days â–¬ 0.5% bonus
11 - 25 days â–¬ 1.5% bonus
26 - 70 days â–¬ 3% bonus
71 - 205 days â–¬ 9% bonus
ConclusionWhile the occupational tax may seem harsh, it may be balanced out by Determination with the Resistance Hero Medals, also it will perfectly worck withÂ
Partisan Warfare andÂ
Surrounding Fronts.
I believe that with this updates we will get more realistic game, with better strategy and politics.Â
It is interesting to note that while occupation of foreign economically unnecessary regions may bring a small boost to a country’s coffers, it can often turn into a damage drain and is essentially not worth it with the damage spent to hold regions, particularly if one takes determination into account.
The effect of this tax, on an individual level, for a player is almost negligible. However, this can mean more money for occupiers that nations may use for their players or to invest their military. Occupied nations on the other hand, now find themselves with less money than before to use. It could be argued that this feature promotes a more static and fixed version of eDominations with largely fixed boundaries for many countries, and near-perma occupation for many of the weaker nations.
I played a lot games like ours, many of the ideas IÂ borrowed from them but tried to bound to ours and think it may make our game the best from users.
Tell me what you all think about it, and please Vote and Shout so the admins see it :)
